 As our first in the CLASSIC WOOD series the WOODY 2 series is reminiscent of the wood lures of old. Thirty years ago Lee started building lures from balsa wood. Those lures set the standards for crankbaits which still hold true today. Now we have introduced the WOODY 2 (3-5 ft.) and DIVING WOODY 2 (8-10 ft) which many of you may recognize as the old Killer B 2 and Diving Killer B 2 . These lures have the same action which only wood can produce but with improvements. We now use Jelutong, a wood which has the same flotation and action of balsa but with the strength of cedar, (no more lips which break out). Then we inserted the TICKER sound chamber, which produces the sounds of shad and crawfish. The diver even has the tuning button (led in the lip) which heads the lure down, getting to and staying in the strike zone longer. This weight forward design also gives more action and stability. |
