 For years I have been asked by the Pros to build balsa lures like we did back in the 70's. These lures have been sought after, hoarded, and bought for many times their ordinal price. Now we build balsa lures using the same hand selected balsa, built the same way, by some of the same people. Many people believe all balsa is the same but in fact there are several grades. We use the hardest grade same as we did in the 70's. We put lips in the right place, wired in the correct location and center weight the lure, all to get that just right action, just like we did in the 70's. Some fishermen have come to believe that the brass wire that we used in the 70's is the reason the lures worked so well. Actually the brass wire indicates that the lure was built back in the 70's when we put lips in the right place, wired in the correct location and center weight the lure, all to get that just right action. We have been able to make some real improvements. We have gone to a Circuit Board lip. This is an ultra strong, ultra thin material which gives better action and depth without the drag from plastics lips. Our flash back finish has tiny sparkle in it which gives the whole lure a better flash pattern. We have also added special 3D eyes which give off flashes as the lure moves through the water. Usually the first thing you see as the lure approaches the boat is the flash from the eyes. |

Fished on a moderate retrieve or, stop and go. The vibration patterns of this lure will attract fish from near and far. Don't be afraid to throw it into cover, the lip usually protects the hooks. | Smallest of our Premium Balsa series these lures have the same hard thumping action of it's bigger brothers. It's size and depth, make this a great choice when the bite is on small baitfish. Fish with a moderate retrieve or stop and go retrieve, pausing and twitching as you retrieve. The shallow runner (CBSMS), runs just under the surface, the diver (CBSMD) dives 4 to 6 ft. |

Fish it as you would all of our balsa baits, either with a straight retrieve or a stop and go action. It's slim shape along with the center weight make it a breeze to cast even in the wind. | Pull this flat sided lure down to the strike zone and stop, it will hold that position. Pull it down into structure and give it a twitch or two and hold on. Bass can't resist it fished slow through their territory. Again I say slow. Fish it as you would a stick bait at the surface, but now it is dancing at depth. Of course you can fish it like all other crankbaits also. The CBSPS runs 4 to 6 ft, and the CBSPD dives 7 to 9 ft. |
