 The new Hybrid is a unique lure, which combines the best features of spinner bait and crank bait. Basically it is a spinner bait frame with a diving plane. The Hybrid uses a unique diving plane which is hidden between the 3/4 oz. spinner bait body and the blade arm. This makes it as weedless as a regular spinner bait. The blade arm goes through the diving plane and a large willow blade hangs from premium ball bearing swivel. If you allow the lure to sink to 25 ft. the Hybrid will hold that depth during retrieve. The combination of the weedless design of a spinner bait with this diving plane drives it down, in and through cover, allowing you to fish this lure in any type of structure such as brush and standing grass which would grab a crank bait. This lure crawls over and through brush, grass, timber, rocks, what ever, and will do it at what ever depths you want. Another feature of the Hybrid is that you can adjust it to run to one side or the other, like any other crank bait. This is a very effective method especially when fishing standing structure. By tuning the lure to run to one side you can get it to run under boat docks, floating structure, and around standing timber and pilings. This is archived by bending the blade arm just after it comes out of the diving plane. |

 The Skimmer does just the opposite of the Hybrid, sliding across the surface achieving a wide *walk the dog* action by just retrieving it. This is achieved by using the same diving plane used in the Hybrid but turned over as a type of spoon. Built with a heavy 3/4 oz. spinner bait head and the surface plane attached to the wire, the Skimmer is easy to cast to those hard to reach locations. The trailer acts as the weedguard making this lure weedless since the surface plane holds the hook up and out of harms way. This makes for better hook ups. One of the best methods for fishing this lure is to throw it over grass dragging it back across the grass mats and stopping it in the open holes. Then Skimmer will back away as it sinks keeping the line tight and enticing any following bass to strike. |
